    The fourth annual Student Forum / New Professionals New Members Forum Board of Certification quiz competition will have individuals competing against other forum members from each of the 10 regions in Jeopardy style game of BOC questions to prepare for their board exams.   • Online Elections

    Elections for ASCLS Offices will be conducted electronically again this year. ASCLS Delegates will be able to use their smart phones, tablets or laptops to cast their vote by going to a specific website and entering their delegate number. Delegates may also visit the designated location to cast their vote.

  • Clinical Laboratory Exposition

    More than 750 companies with over 2,000 booths are expected to display their products and services at the Clinical Lab Expo in 2018.

  • Scientific Assembly Meetings

    Scientific Assembly (SA) sections are forums for ASCLS members who share a special interest or expertise in a clinical laboratory science discipline to discuss trends, problem solve, and learn new methods and technology. Each SA section offers many opportunities for professional, scientific and personal growth.  Attend the section meeting for your special interest area and take advantage of this opportunity to network and learn.  SA sections include Chemistry/Urinalysis, Microbiology/Public Health, Laboratory Administration/Industry/Consulting/Quality, Immunology/Immunohematology, Hematology/Hemostasis, Generalist, Phlebotomy, Molecular Diagnostics, Education, Informatics, Point of Care Testing. The Education and Molecular Diagnostics sections are held on an alternate day in order to accomodate for crossover in disciplines.  Non-members are welcome to attend these meetings.

    Scientific Assembly sections are forums for ASCLS members who share a special interest or expertise in a clinical laboratory science discipline to discuss trends, problem solve, and learn new methods and technology. Each Scientific Assembly section offers many opportunities for professional, scientific and personal growth. The ESA is a forum for laboratory educators. Non-members are welcome to attend this meeting. The ESA business meeting is led by the ESA Chair.

    Join your colleagues at the Scientific Assembly meetings to bring together ASCLS members who share a special interest or expertise in a clinical laboratory science discipline to discuss trends, problem solve, and learn new methods and technology. Each Scientific Assembly section offers many opportunities for professional, scientific, and personal growth. Attend the section meeting for your special interest area and take advantage of this opportunity to network and learn.  Nonmembers are welcome to attend these meetings.

    Elections for ASCLS offices will be conducted electronically again this year. When Coffee with the Candidates has completed on Tuesday, July 31, at 8:30 am, elections will open and remain open until 4:00 pm. ASCLS Delegates will be able to use their smart phones, tablets, or laptops to cast their vote over this period by going to a specific website and entering their delegate number. Delegates may also visit the designated location to cast their vote. Elections will close at 4:00 pm Central Time on Tuesday, July 31. For those delegates who do not feel comfortable casting their vote on their own, they may come to the designated room between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 31, to cast their vote. If necessary, a runoff election will be announced and held Wednesday morning.

    A Story Slam is a session in which multiple speakers have five minutes to tell a personal story about an event that changed their professional life. Story Slams are a combination of a poetry slam and an American Idol audition – the more creative the speaker is, the more the audience responds. Join ASCLS for its first story slam session.
