Purpose of the APF

To engage and inform individuals new to the profession and ASCLS about the various opportunities that membership affords. Forum driven activities will support the needs and interests of Forum members.

Nominations are open for the Ascending Professionals Officers for 2020-21

All nominees must be ASCLS Ascending Professional members as of 02/28/20.

Deadline for nominations is May 31, 2020

Ascending Professionals Vice Chair Responsibilities - 1 year term, potential 3 year committment (full responsibilities are listed in the Guidelines for Governance):

  1. Assists the Chair in any activities and functions related to the Forum.
  2. Works with the Chair, Secretary, Advisor, and other members to complete the charges for the year.
  3. Stands in for the Chair if he/she is unable to complete his/her duties.
  4. The Vice Chair ascends to the Forum Chair for the following year.
  5. Once Past Chair, they will serve as the Ascending Professional Director on the ASCLS Board of Directors
  6. Must participate in monthly conference calls that wiill be determined based on the availability of the APF Leadership Council.

Ascending Professionals Secretary Responsibilities - 1 year term, may serve 2 terms (full responsibilities are listed in the Guidelines for Governance):

  1. Assists the Chair in scheduling meetings and conference calls throughout the year.
  2. Takes the meeting minutes for all meetings and conference calls throughout the year.
  3. Maintains a current contact list of all Regional and State Representatives.
  4. Works with the Chair, Vice-Chair, Advisor, and other members to complete the charges for the year.
  5. Must participate in monthly conference calls that wiill be determined based on the availability of the APF Leadership Council.
